An inclusive mainstream primary school in Reading is looking for a teaching assistant to work with Autistic children across EYFS, KS1, and KS2. The school ideally seeks someone with an understanding or experience with ABA. The position is to begin ASAP and requires a minimum of a Level 3 qualification, ideally a degree.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with Autism and be able to offer strategies to support the children. The school is looking for a proactive ASD teaching assistant who can use their initiative and be highly flexible/adaptive. In return, the school offers ample CPD opportunities, including regular training in different fields of SEN, as well as teacher training in the long run. A background and understanding of ABA is ideal for this position.

The primary school is graded as 'Good' by Ofsted, and the local authority has commended them for their highly inclusive and diverse culture. The successful ASD teaching assistant will work alongside the SENCO and a large team of experienced teaching assistants, speech and language therapists, psychologists, and emotional literacy support therapists.
