My client is looking for an all round strong Financial Controller who is keen to progress into a Finance Director role. You will ideally have manufacturing/ construction experience, be used to working in an SME, and being hands on with the team.

Description

Financial Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement financial strategies, budgeting, and forecasting to support business growth.
Financial Reporting & Compliance: Ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
Cost Control & Profitability Analysis: Monitor expenses, analyse cost structures, and identify opportunities to improve financial performance.
Risk Management & Internal Controls: Establish and maintain strong internal controls to mitigate financial risks.
Cash Flow & Working Capital Management: Oversee cash flow, manage working capital, and ensure financial stability.
Business Partnering: Collaborate with senior management and operational teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
Audit & Tax Compliance: Coordinate with external auditors, manage tax filings, and ensure adherence to financial policies.
Team Leadership & Development: Manage and mentor finance teams, fostering professional growth and efficiency.

Profile

Qualified or QBE accountant
Manufacturing or construction experience
Strong systems knowledge, ideally Sage
Ambition to grow and develop into an FD role
Team management & leadership experience

Job Offer

Salary circa £60,000-£80,000 dependent on experience
Flexible start & finish times
Ideally this will be 100% office based
