Production Operative - Night Shift

Location: Outskirts of Ely

Hours: Sunday to Thursday - 10pm to 6am (Night Shift)

Hourly Rate / Salary: £12.30 p/h

Benefits: Holiday Pay + Pension

Duration: Temp to Perm

We are looking for a dedicated Production Operative to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating machinery, assembling products, performing quality inspections, and ensuring a clean and safe working environment. You should be detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work efficiently within a team in a fast-paced setting. Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided. A counterbalance forklift licence is desirable.

Job Duties:

1. Maintain high standards of Health and Safety, hygiene, and housekeeping.
2. Interpret and execute instructions from relevant specification sheets.
3. Coordinate with departments to ensure adequate material quantities.
4. Collaborate with the crew to efficiently set up jobs.
5. Stack and prepare pallets for optimal palletisation presentation.
6. Perform cleaning and maintenance tasks promptly and to a high standard.
7. Assess manual handling and suggest improvements to the Machine Operator.
