Lead DevOps Engineer - Manchester - £85,000 to £90,000 + bonus

The Company: Lorien Global are working in partnership with a major gambling business based in Manchester City Centre, backed with the investment to drive innovative, advanced, creative technologies forward and build unrivalled products. We need an experienced leader in the platform engineering sphere to aid with projects, support, and management of the engineering team.

The Role: Your responsibility covers Engineering, Management, and Strategy, focusing on the upkeep and improvement of their hybrid cloud and on-premise platform. This is a business-critical team, with the live 24/7, revenue-generating platform. It's essential that efficiency, stability, and security are at the core of designs.

Working closely with the Head of Platform Engineering, you'll lead a portion of the overall team, delegating, mentoring, and guiding those who need support. This role is a mix of hands-on and strategic decision-making, giving you the opportunity to stay in tune with the technology.

The Skill Requirements: Candidates must have a blend of the following:

Proven experience leading high-performing platform teams to deliver complex platform improvements in a fast-paced, live environment
Good understanding of Cloud Platforms preferably AWS but can consider others (GCP, Azure etc.)
Excellent understanding of CI/CD tooling and best practices (Jenkins)
Good knowledge of infrastructure management systems (Ansible, Terraform, etc.)
Experience with containerisation technology (Docker, Helm, Kubernetes)
Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.)
Excellent communication between both internal and external stakeholders

The Benefits:

Salary up to £90,000
