Technical Project Manager, AI, SDLC, Data, Digital, Global, Professional Services, PM Certified, Remote

Technical Project Manager / Software Delivery Project Manager required to work for a Professional Services business based in Central London. However, this is a global role that may require some global travel (fully expensed) but most of the work can be done from the comfort of your own home.

Please read in full before applying. You MUST have some form of official Project Management Certification in order to be considered for this role. This is NOT an Infrastructure related PM role. You MUST have delivered Development / SaaS / Digital related Projects in order to be considered for this.

We need someone from a technical background (ideally development within digital technology products) who is passionate about technology, who understands technology and spends time looking out for what is new in the market. Whether this be gaining new qualifications / certifications or being in touch with modern technology via forums etc.

The role is a solid Project Management position, but we need this person to impress when discussing project delivery with C-Level / Partner Level people within the business. You will also be influencing key vendors with your ideas, talking about modern digital related technology, products, AI, SDLC etc. They want you to own whatever project you are running with minimal hand-holding along the way (although there will be support of course!).

There is a written side to it too, where you will be writing and designing high-level, strategic technical documents for the business to digest prior to the project executions. You will run several meetings with key stakeholders in both the business and technology, where you would need to be confident enough to hold your own, run the meetings, and be prepared to be challenged by sometimes difficult stakeholders!

They want this to be mainly about business outcomes and orientation (via technology). Be passionate about the impact the projects will have on the business and articulate the positive impacts these will have on the business.

We can look at Digital, Change and Transformation Project / Programme Managers but you must have a technical background. You will preferably come from a Professional Services background (Insurance, Legal / Law, Accountancy etc) or Finance and successful start-up company backgrounds (technology-driven) would be considered.

As this has global coverage, there may be some early / late calls. You must be prepared for this. There will be give and take with times, along with some flexibility if things are becoming quite taxing. However, we want someone dedicated and definitely not someone who wants a hardened 9am – 5pm kind of position!

Experience Required (Please Read in FULL):

1. Role is the face of Global IT in the Project – Global experience is not required but you must have an appreciation of a Global role versus Regional.
2. Acts as a key integral part of a wider Project team – you must have a proven Business Relationship side to your solid Project Management skills.
3. Highly experienced in implementing SaaS and bespoke Software solutions.
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to clearly define and articulate complex issues to challenging stakeholders.
5. Detail-oriented and able to plan and present at both a high and very detailed level.
6. Able to present sometimes complex technical solutions to both IT and senior business stakeholders (sometimes C-Level / Partner Level).
7. Excellent vendor management skills, comfortable challenging suppliers as well as working alongside them to achieve a desired outcome.
8. Excellent Risk and Issue Management skills, able to anticipate issues before they occur and take proactive preventative measures.
9. Experienced in the implementation, review and uplift of IT Managed Services processes and how they apply to a SaaS solution.
10. Excellent understanding of SaaS solution test and Assurance, able to offer guidance on plans and other test activities.
11. Comfortable in dealing with ambiguity and items that may not typically fall under a Project Manager’s remit.
12. Comfortable presenting updates across the company network and sometimes to very senior stakeholders.
13. Able to reflect this in a clear and concise way in your CV with headlines over extended, unnecessary waffle – 4 pages maximum ideally.
