The Marketing Manager for the Lawyer Channel market is a key role in the IFR team, responsible for developing and executing the marketing strategy for the target segment of legal professionals. The core focus of this role is to increase awareness of the Firm’s brand, and engagement and loyalty of the lawyer channel, ultimately to generate leads and revenue for the business.

The Marketing Manager will create, develop and implement a marketing strategy in alignment with the broader Insolvency, Forensic & Restructuring (IF&R) marketing strategy and in collaboration with the lawyer channel Business Development (BD) team’s go-to-market priorities. The Manager will also have the opportunity to collaborate across the Firm and with the central enablement teams (content, digital, social, design), for support in delivering on the strategy. Stakeholder management around strategy and planning processes is key to ensure ongoing engagement from all sub-service lines.

A look into the role

As the Marketing Manager – Lawyer Channel within our Insolvency, Forensics & Restructuring team you will:

  • Set and monitor goals and KPIs to lead, define and implement the marketing plan for the lawyer channel market, aligning it with BD and overall business objectives and customer needs.
  • Conduct market research to ensure ongoing effectiveness of service line marketing activity; analysing customer behaviour and preferences to identify opportunities and challenges.
  • Manage the marketing budget for the lawyer channel market, allocating and optimising the resources across different marketing channels and activities. Monitoring and reporting on ROI and effectiveness of spend against marketing campaigns and initiatives.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of various events for the lawyer channel market, such as webinars, seminars, conferences and networking events.
  • Lead and mobilise a team of marketing professionals who support the marketing activities for the lawyer channel market. Provide guidance, feedback and coaching to the team members, while evaluating performance and development.

Knowing you’re right for us

Joining us as a Marketing Manager, the minimum criteria you’ll need is to be educated to degree level or equivalent and hold a marketing qualification i.e. CIM Post-Graduate Diploma if not part of degree education. Legal sector marketing experience is highly desirable although other professional services sector experience will be considered.

It would be great if you had some of the following skills, but don’t worry if you don’t tick every box, we’ll help you develop along the way.

  • Strong knowledge of the lawyer channel market, the customer segments, the competitors and the industry trends.
  • A confident self-starter, with excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A creative, analytical and strategic thinker with the ability to challenge the status quo and develop and execute innovative and effective marketing campaigns and initiatives.
  • Proficient in using various marketing tools and platforms, such as CRM, email marketing, social media, web analytics, and content management systems.
  • Leadership, teamwork, and project management skills, with the ability to lead and inspire a team of marketing professionals, and to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
