(Tax Free) Manager Supply Chain Security (Defense)

The Manager, Supply Chain Security, will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the security, integrity, and resilience of Group’s supply chain operations. This role focuses on the Security of Supply Chain Operations, ensuring that critical materials, technologies, and services are delivered securely and without disruption. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing risks, ensuring compliance, and building resilient supply chain ecosystems in high-stakes industries, such as defense or aerospace.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute Group’s supply chain security strategy, focusing on securing operations from end to end.
  • Align security measures with corporate objectives, national security requirements, and global compliance standards.

Risk Mitigation and Resilience

  • Conduct threat assessments for global supply chain operations, identifying vulnerabilities such as cyber threats, geopolitical risks, and physical disruptions.
  • Implement contingency plans to ensure business continuity during supply chain disruptions, including alternative sourcing and logistics routes.
  • Mitigate risks associated with critical component sourcing, including counterfeit prevention and supplier vetting.

Supplier and Partner Oversight

  • Develop and enforce security protocols for suppliers, vendors, and contractors to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Lead audits and assessments of supplier facilities, focusing on cybersecurity, physical security, and operational integrity.
  • Establish partnerships with trusted suppliers to enhance resilience and mitigate single points of failure.

Cybersecurity and Data Protection

  • Safeguard sensitive data shared across the supply chain, ensuring robust cybersecurity measures are in place.
  • Work closely with IT teams to protect ERP systems, IoT platforms, and other technologies critical to supply chain operations.
  • Ensure all supply chain partners meet cybersecurity compliance requirements, minimizing exposure to breaches.

Compliance and Regulatory Adherence

  • Ensure compliance with global trade regulations, export control laws (e.g., ITAR, EAR), and UAE defense procurement policies.
  • Continuously monitor supply chain operations to avoid dealings with sanctioned entities or non-compliant suppliers.

Operational Monitoring and Technology Integration

  • Leverage advanced technologies such as blockchain and IoT to enhance supply chain transparency and traceability.
  • Employ predictive analytics to identify potential disruptions and proactively mitigate risks.
  • Lead response and recovery efforts for supply chain security incidents, ensuring minimal impact on operations.
  • Conduct post-incident reviews to refine security strategies and improve resilience.

Team Leadership and Collaboration

  • Build and mentor a high-performing supply chain security team, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, logistics, legal, and IT, to address complex security challenges.
  • Partner with government agencies and regulatory bodies to align supply chain security with national objectives.

Key Qualifications and Skills:

Educational Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Security Studies, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.

Experience

  • At least 10 years of experience in supply chain management, with a minimum of 5 years focusing on supply chain security in high-stakes industries such as defense or aerospace.
  • Proven experience in managing supplier relationships, risk assessments, and incident response in a global environment.

Technical Expertise

  • Strong understanding of supply chain operations, risk management, and security technologies.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks and standards such as ISO 28000, ITAR, and NIST.
  • Experience implementing advanced tools for supply chain monitoring, such as blockchain and predictive analytics.

Skills and Certifications

  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Relevant certifications, such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), are advantageous.
