Counterbalance Driver & Factory Labourer

Monday - Thursday 7am-4pm

Friday 7am - 12pm

£13.50 per hour

Location: HU9 Hull

Based in Hull, East Yorkshire, Phoenix Building Systems is a team of modular building specialists working with private businesses and public sector organisations across the UK. Phoenix Building Systems is currently looking to employ a forklift operator/labourer to join their growing team.

The day-to-day duties will consist of the following tasks:

• Keeping the factory tidy and removing waste materials to maintain a safe environment.
• Bringing materials into the factory for ongoing projects.
• Ensuring materials for the joiners are stocked to avoid production delays.
• Moving modular sections and portacabins out of the factory upon completion.
• Bringing new steel frames and cabin packs into the factory for assembly.
• Loading modular frames and portacabins onto transport for customers and unloading steel frames from suppliers.
• Booking the Biffa 40-yard roll-on roll-off skips for weekly changeovers.
• Daily checking and inspection of the fleet of forklift trucks and reporting any issues.
• Additional duties may include being a key holder, contributing to factory audits, assisting with QC procedures, and contributing to health and safety procedures.

Requirements for the role:

• In-date Counterbalance FLT Licence
• Strong work ethic
• Physically fit and healthy due to the nature of the work
• Previous experience with forklift operation and factory labouring is essential
