Qualified Social Worker - Physical Disabilities within Adult Services in Gateshead UK earning £201 Daily, with Full Time Locums available on an ongoing basis. What you will do:

  1. Undertake comprehensive assessments and care planning in compliance with the Care Act 2014.
  2. Work collaboratively with service users, families, carers, and multi-disciplinary teams to deliver exceptional care.
  3. Support individuals to access appropriate care and services that encourage independence and personal growth.
  4. Manage a varied and engaging caseload while adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures without missing a beat.
  5. Conduct Mental Capacity Act assessments, ensuring that decisions are always in the best interest of the service user.
  6. Maintain accurate and detailed case records and reports that reflect your attention to detail.
  7. Advocate fiercely for service users, ensuring their voices are heard and respected in all decision-making processes.

Requirements:

  1. You must be a Qualified Social Worker (QSW) with active Social Work England registration.
  2. Demonstrable experience working with adults with physical disabilities.
  3. Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act.
  4. Strong skills in assessment, risk management, and problem-solving.
  5. Ability to work independently and thrive within a collaborative multi-disciplinary team.
  6. Exceptional communication, organisational, and report-writing skills.
