Senior Logistics Planner

WB Power Services are currently recruiting for a Senior Logistics Planner to work in our head office, in Heanor, Derbyshire. This is a superb opportunity for a Logistics Planner to join the business through this rapid period of growth. The business is looking for a driven and motivated Logistics Planner to support the business through these exciting times.

The Role

• Manage and deliver small to medium transport projects.
• Ensure company drivers are adhering to tachograph rules and vehicle checks.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and local/national authorities as required.
• Knowledge of weights and ensuring compliance when planning routes.
• Work within all Company Health & Safety and quality guidelines.
• Allocate jobs to drivers using our own planning system.
• Check the quality and accuracy of work produced by team members.
• Assist Transport Manager in Infringement meetings, taking notes.
• Administer all traffic offenses, including getting drivers to sign salary deduction forms.
• Ensure that all assigned tasks/jobs are delivered on-time and to budget.
• Identify and allocate vehicles to new drivers ensuring they are prepared.
• Create and maintain relationships with others over time.

The Person

• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Experience in a team leader or senior role.
• 5 years of experience with UK Transport Planning standards and processes.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage own workload.
• Health and safety aware.
• Knowledge of UK traffic laws.
• Confident in communicating via telephone, face-to-face, and email.
• Enthusiastic team player.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible and hardworking.
