Lead Infrastructure Engineer – Up to £60K – Manchester (Hybrid, 2 Days in Office)
Are you an experienced Infrastructure Engineer ready to take the next step? Or maybe you’re already leading a small team but want a role with more autonomy and ownership?
We’re looking for a Lead Infrastructure Engineer to join a growing team in Manchester. You’ll be leading a team of three, working on large-scale on-premise infrastructure while also getting stuck into monitoring, patching, project work, and BAU support.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Managing and mentoring a small team of Infrastructure Engineers
- Maintaining and improving large on-prem and cloud infrastructure
- Handling BAU support, monitoring, and patching to keep systems running smoothly
- Driving projects to enhance infrastructure performance and security
- Acting as an escalation point for technical issues
What We’re Looking For:
- Solid experience in infrastructure engineering, with a strong focus on on-premise environments
- Experience leading or mentoring a team (even unofficially!)
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, networking, and enterprise backup solutions
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
- Understanding of security best practices and disaster recovery planning
