The role:
As International Franchise Development Director, you will play a crucial role in supporting expansion plans for the business.
Managing the end-to-end process, the International Franchise Development Director will oversee the recruitment process, lead contract negotiations, and develop and grow each franchisee group.
Leading the new business strategy, the International Franchise Development Director will take a lead role in the discovery phase of potential franchisees.
In this role, the International Franchise Development Director will manage the relationship with multiple stakeholders both internally and externally to deliver franchise objectives.
The International Franchise Development Director will own and develop the franchise system, providing all relevant information, materials, and touchpoints.
Thriving in a start-up environment, the International Franchise Development Director will manage and develop each franchisee group as they join and grow within the franchisee system.
Ideal candidate:
This International Franchise Development Director role is ideal for an individual who has hands-on international franchise development experience gained from fast-paced growing retail, leisure, or hospitality organizations.
You must have worked with significant investment budgets and be able to thrive in a scale-up environment with less defined processes and ways of working.
As the International Franchise Development Director, you will have a proven track record of networking, engaging, and presenting to new potential and existing multi-site franchisees, and will be able to manage the end-to-end process from negotiation to contracts to onboarding to expansion.
You will have experience of working with franchisees to create robust annual business and operating plans and report and monitor performance.
You must have international experience working with medium to large-sized multi-unit franchisee groups across multiple markets.
Ideally, you will currently (or previously) be working in a high-growth proposition and will be comfortable with rapid growth and change.
The International Franchise Development Director must have excellent project management experience and can manage multiple projects simultaneously. You will be equally comfortable working on strategy as getting your sleeves rolled up and stuck in.
Having a can-do attitude, the International Franchise Development Director will be excited to be part of a rapid scale-up and will be able to adapt as the business grows.
