RESPONSIBILITIES:
Our UK agency is recruiting for a HVAC Engineer M/F as Technical Lead to manage the Hinkley Point C HVAC contract. This role supports Hinkley Point C with a specific focus on configuration follow-up, in close collaboration with the layout and HVAC system teams.
The position will be based in Bristol, under a permanent contract.
- Manage and coordinate the processing of Design Changes (follow-up from DC opening to closure, monitoring progress and stakeholder contributions, representing in committees).
- Keep the Contract HPC/SZC KPI updated (Design changes, surveillance, manufacturing, NCR, OP, TQs).
- Coordinate the progress of the team documents surveillance issued on the Contractor deliverables.
- Coordinate the team’s treatment of Non-Conformance reports issued by the Contractor.
- Coordinate the team’s treatment of technical queries issued by the Contractor.
- Produce the annual surveillance report for the contracts.
- Serve as the representative of the Responsible Designer HVAC contract team in meetings with NNB and the supplier.
BACKGROUND AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Mechanical, Nuclear Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in project configuration management.
- Knowledge and experience in TeamCenter data centric tool or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel KPIs, Word, and Power-BI.
- HVAC knowledge of Pressurised Water Reactor system design principles.
- Ability to communicate clearly and accurately, both written and orally, in English.
