Purchasing/Customer Service Assistant

Salary: Up to £25,000 P/A + fantastic benefits!

Location: Chichester, West Sussex

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9AM - 5PM

Dynamite Recruitment are looking for an experienced Purchasing/Customer Service Assistant to join a successful brand.

As a Purchasing/Customer Service Assistant, you will be responsible for offering excellent standards of Customer Service, handling customer queries and updates. This is a varied role, also including supply chain and purchasing responsibilities, ensuring stock meets the needs of customers. You will also handle ad hoc administration and support senior staff.

Key responsibilities:

  1. Liasing with suppliers regarding stock levels and purchasing.
  2. Updating the team when facing delays.
  3. Chasing outstanding purchase orders and invoices.
  4. Covering specialist departments when required.
  5. Working closely with the Accounts Team regarding supplier invoicing.
  6. Providing customers with updates on their orders.
  7. Handling inbound queries via telephone, live chat, post, and email.
  8. Ad hoc administration.
  9. Demonstrating excellent product knowledge.
  10. Coordinating bookings/appointments via the in-house system.

Ideally, you will be:

  1. A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role (Purchasing and Customer Service).
  2. Proficient in Microsoft Office and IT skills.
  3. Self-organised and able to adapt to workloads.
  4. Offering excellent customer service skills.
  5. Possessing clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
