Job description

KRG are working with a long established and highly respected integrated marketing agency in Brighton who are on the search for an SEO Junior (Executive) to join their growing team. They work on integrated campaigns for a range of local and UK clients using their specialists across SEO, content, social media, paid media, web design and analytics.

The team has been expanding over the past few months as the agency has had an increase of inbound leads with new clients and they value ensuring that none of the team have a workload which is too much, so they're looking to hire another junior to assist the managers!

Key Responsibilities:

As an SEO Junior, you will be responsible for:

Technical SEO:
  1. Assist in conducting website audits to identify technical SEO issues.
  2. Monitor website performance using tools like Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
  3. Help optimise website load speed and mobile responsiveness.
  4. Support implementation of on–page SEO strategies, including meta tags, alt attributes, and URL structures.
  5. Keep track of SEO best practices and industry trends to assist in strategy development.
Content SEO:
  1. Conduct keyword research to identify target keywords for content creation.
  2. Assist in writing and editing SEO–friendly content for blogs, articles, and web pages.
  3. Help optimise existing content for improved search engine rankings.
  4. Work with the content team to ensure proper use of headings, links, and images for SEO.
  5. Monitor the performance of content using analytics tools to assess engagement and traffic.
  6. Assist in creating reports on SEO performance and recommending improvements based on findings.
General Responsibilities:
  1. Stay updated on the latest SEO trends and algorithm changes.
  2. Participate in team meetings to discuss ongoing projects and strategies.
  3. Collaborate with wider teams to align SEO efforts with overall marketing goals.
  4. Help maintain and update the SEO documentation and best practices guide.
  5. Support in conducting competitor analysis to inform content and SEO strategies.
About You:
  1. Previous exposure to some form of marketing, ideally SEO. This could be through working with an agency, a placement year or an internship.
  2. Good organisation and time management skills.
  3. Analytical mind and problem–solving skills.
  4. Great written skills.
  5. Proficiency in Google Docs, Sheets and Slides.
  6. Basic understanding of CSS and HTML.
  7. Basic understanding of WordPress and other CMS systems.
  8. Good understanding of digital marketing channels.
  9. Basic understanding/interest in AI.
  10. A keen desire to specialise in SEO.
