Requirements
QWE Pathway
With the new Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) route, aspiring solicitors will need to complete two SQE assessments along with two years of Qualifying Work Experience (QWE) to qualify as solicitors.
We can offer you interesting and challenging placements as part of your QWE that offers high quality legal work and excellent levels of responsibility. During the time you are with us, you will be offered mentoring and support from our expert team of mentors and graduate team.

Duties and Responsibilities
Depending on your personalised plan, you may complete a mix of contentious and non-contentious placements with us. Candidates will have opportunities to develop different practice skills and gain the valuable experience needed to prepare them for qualification.
Each and every one of our trainees receives high levels of responsibility as they are placed only when there is a genuine need for their help in the team. Our trainees need to be ready to hit the ground running and adapt quickly to become valuable members of the teams they work in, knowing they can rely on an enhanced support system as well as mentoring to guide them every step of the way.

Accutrainee Scholarship Programme
By applying for this role, you will have the opportunity to be considered for the Accutrainee Scholarship Programme. The programme aims to break down barriers to the legal profession by welcoming applications from underrepresented groups and candidates from less advantaged backgrounds.
If you choose to apply for the Scholarship Programme, we will assess your eligibility during and after the selection process.
Sponsorship Eligibility
We evaluate personal history, achievements, and financial or socio-economic circumstances, including any exceptional challenges faced.
If you successfully complete the trainee solicitor selection process and are eligible for the Scholarship Programme, Accutrainee will seek trainee secondment opportunities for you. If you secure an Accutrainee secondment and begin your training contract/QWE, Accutrainee will cover the costs of your SQE assessments and preparatory courses or of your LPC.
When to apply?
We are continually recruiting and do not have deadlines. Our secondments can start at any time throughout the year. Most candidates apply either towards the end of their LLB degree or after completing the GDL, LPC or SQE Part 1.
