Responsibilities

We are looking for multiple Transaction Monitoring Analysts on a short-term contract basis, experienced in account screening, transaction reviews, and end-to-end SAR preparation to join a remote UK team in the financial trade industry. Based on the urgency of this particular project this will be a quick interview process aiming to onboard successful candidates as soon as possible.

While the scope of each project may be different, your duties & responsibilities may include:

  • Manage multiple queues for account screening and monitoring alerts in real time.
  • Perform in-depth analyses of transactional histories for flagged accounts, take necessary actions, and fine-tune monitoring rules as required.
  • Refer complex transaction alerts to the appropriate team or escalate them to senior management.
  • Design and deploy new transaction monitoring alerts to enhance detection capabilities.
  • Oversee the end-to-end process of drafting and submitting Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) to relevant authorities, like the NCA.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements or efficiency enhancements.
Qualifications
  • Strong educational background – Degree (Masters would be an advantage)
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels of seniority
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with good relationship building and engagement skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • The ideal candidate will have 2+ years experience within transaction monitoring.
  • Experience working on investment banking projects, either directly for an investment bank or through a third party providing consulting or outsourced services to an investment bank.
  • The ideal candidate will have transaction monitoring experience at a financial trading firm, exchange, or regulatory organization.
