As a Certified Medication Aide on our team, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our patients receive the right medications at the right time, with a caring touch. This position requires a perfect blend of technical expertise, attention to detail, and genuine compassion for those in your care.

Responsibilities:
  1. Administer medications to patients with care and precision, following prescribed orders
  2. Observe and report any changes in patients' conditions or medication reactions
  3. Maintain accurate and detailed medication administration records
  4. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members about medications and care
  5. Assist in monitoring medication inventory
  6. Provide compassionate support to patients during medication administration
  7. Ensure compliance with medication safety protocols and regulations
  8. Participate in care planning meetings, offering insights on medication-related matters
  9. Assist with patient education regarding medications, demonstrating empathy and patience
  10. Collaborate closely with nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
Minimum Requirements:
  1. Current Certified Medication Aide certification in good standing
  2. High school diploma or equivalent
  3. Minimum of 1 year experience as a CMA, preferably in a similar healthcare setting
  4. Strong knowledge of medication administration techniques and safety protocols
  5. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  6. Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities
  7. Genuine compassion and patience when interacting with patients
  8. Proficiency in electronic health record systems
  9. A warm, caring approach that puts patients at ease during medication administration
  10. Meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of medication management
  11. Strong interpersonal skills, allowing for effective communication with individuals
  12. Ability to remain calm and composed in fast-paced or stressful situations
  13. Commitment to ongoing learning about medications and best practices in patient care
