Job Description

NES Fircroft are supporting one of our O&G clients based in Aberdeen, with a Field Services / Applications Support Engineer role.

This is a permanent position, and our client is looking for an individual that has significant experience within downhole tools, particularly bridge plugs & packers. It would also be very advantageous to have knowledge of coiled tubing & wireline equipment.

Within the role, you will carry out a mix of both onshore (workshop based) & offshore work. When working in the workshop, you will be responsible for the assembly and test of all UHX production tools, field support and training for deployments, along with any required development testing.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Become an expert on products and in particular the UHX products
  • Be responsible for the assembly and test and deployment support of UHX production tools
  • Provide customers practical support and training in tool operation, maintenance and application
  • Help support and maintain the rental tools
  • Be willing to travel nationally and internationally to provide in-person support for client's products in the workshop and in the field
  • Work in a team environment building relationships and consensus with Sales, Engineering and Manufacturing
  • Be able to think critically and be prepared to suggest solutions to internal and to client operations
  • Identify gaps in the market for product line expansion
  • Adhere to all client policies and procedures
  • To carry out other duties as required
