Domiciliary Care Worker (Coventry, Kenilworth, Warwick, Leamington Spa)

£12.00 per hour plus 20p per hour after 10 miles

Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated domiciliary care worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in various settings, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and home care environments. This role is vital in ensuring the well-being and comfort of our clients while promoting their independence and dignity.

Duties

  1. Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming.
  2. Provide meal preparation and ensure dietary needs are met.
  3. Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients.
  4. Administer first aid and monitor health conditions as needed, reporting any changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
  5. Help with mobility and transportation, including driving clients to appointments or social activities when required.
  6. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
  7. Document care provided and communicate effectively with team members and family members regarding client progress.

Experience

  1. Previous experience in home care or assisted living settings is essential.
  2. Familiarity with patient care practices, first aid techniques, and meal preparation is advantageous.
  3. Experience in childcare may also be beneficial for those working with younger clients or families.
  4. A caring attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently are essential traits for success in this role.
