Location: Greenwood Academy Corsehill Mount Road Dreghorn, KA11 4HL

Rate: £12.60 per hour

Contract Type: Permanent

Position Type: Part Time

Hours: 32.5 hours per week

Job Summary

Reporting to the Catering Supervisor, you will assist in the provision of a quality catering service within this location and associated satellite locations, as required. As a Facilities Assistant within a kitchen, you will prepare and serve meals, operate a till, and undertake specific cleaning duties. You must have the ability to work under pressure, be a team player, and operate within food safety and nutritional guidelines. You will also be required to transport food to different locations. Applicants must hold a valid UK driving licence. Flexibility regarding start & finish times, to suit the needs of the service, would be desirable. This post is 52 weeks. Start date is subject to PVG and Occupational Health Checks.

PVG (Children)

This post is considered Regulated Work with Children, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act, 2007. Therefore, it is an offence to apply if you are barred from working with children.

Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check, prior to confirmation of employment being made by North Ayrshire Council. Please note, successful candidates will be expected to meet the cost of the relevant PVG check (£59 or £18), which will be deducted in instalments from your wages following commencement of employment.

Please note if you are the successful candidate your name and email address will be entered into the Disclosure Scotland PVG system to generate your PVG form which will be issued to your email with an enclosed link to complete.
