Senior Process Expert PMO, EU ATS ACES; Perm/FTC

EU Amazon Transportation Services’ ACES (Amazon Customer Excellence System) team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated person as a Senior Process Expert PMO to help develop a world class middle mile process that delivers goods on time at the best cost.
This position will support Amazon Transportation Services and drive operational excellence and project management across the entire EU Fulfillment Center, Sort Center, Air Node, and Delivery Station network. A successful candidate will have experience managing large and complex projects with bias for action needed in a startup environment.

A successful candidate will demonstrate:

1. Passion for continuous improvement and developing mechanisms to reduce defects
2. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills (including facilitating communication)
3. Strong change management and implementation experience, including a demonstrated ability to engage effectively with high levels of management
4. Ability to think strategically and execute methodically
5. Ability to drive projects from initially ambiguous states
6. Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills and ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases
7. Demonstrated ability to write detailed project and business plans
8. High attention to detail and proven ability to manage competing priorities simultaneously

Key job responsibilities

1. Build strong partnership with senior leaders to monitor the progress of projects, improve milestones tracking and identify risks and support needed
2. Manage the organization´s portfolio of projects, ensure alignment with strategic objectives and maintain centralized repository for future reference and analysis
3. Engage other Amazon business units globally to share best practices and improve end to end outcomes for Amazon customers
4. Work with technology teams and product managers to develop new tools and systems to support the growth of the business
5. Support to improve the vision, content, and delivery of standard work
6. Create benchmark standards and audit process in order to streamline project reporting
7. Analyze and solving barriers with a focus on understanding root causes, collaboration improvement among multiple stakeholders and effective information flow

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

1. A degree in business, supply chain, economics
2. Relevant experience in project management or management consulting including handling multiple ongoing projects
3. Relevant experience using Microsoft Excel for data analysis
4. Relevant experience of communicating with a wide range of senior stakeholders
5. Approximately 20-30% travel required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

1. Experience in process improvement
2. Experience in analytical tool building
3. Recognized project management certifications, such as the PMP/CAPM/PRINCE2
4. Strong knowledge of project management methodologies e.g. Agile, Waterfall, Scrum
5. Experience with data visualisation tools such as Tableau, Power BI or QuickSight
