We are now on the lookout for a brilliant Office Manager to join the team in our York office. You will be the person who keeps our offices running like clockwork; if you’re the person that loves to get stuff done, this role is for you!

About the role

Reporting to the People and Culture Manager, you’ll be the glue that holds the office together. The friendly face, the organiser, the go-to person for all things operational. From managing supplies, to fixing tech niggles, to greeting visitors and booking travel, you’ll make sure the office runs smoothly and sustainably.

You’ll also help bring our culture to life. Whether it’s organising events, supporting our People team, or helping us walk the talk on sustainability, you’ll play a big part in making Apatura a great place to work.

What you’ll be doing

Keeping the wheels running

  • Manage office supplies, post, filing, equipment and office maintenance
  • Oversee the smooth running of everything behind the scenes
  • Support the Admin team and help prioritise workloads across the business

Front of house

  • Greet guests, answer calls, and make everyone feel welcome
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the office

Travel and events

  • Book travel and accommodation for staff and contractors (excluding the Executive Team)
  • Help our People team with events, socials and internal comms

Health and safety

  • Make sure the office is safe, compliant, and comfortable
  • Maintain policies and carry out regular checks
  • Serve as a point of contact for facility management and any external contractors.

Sustainability in action

  • Lead on making the office more sustainable, think waste reduction, smarter energy use and greener choices
  • Champion our ESG goals and help us leave the planet in a better place than we found it.

What we’re looking for

You’ve got experience running a busy office and keeping lots of plates spinning. You love making things more efficient, staying organised, and creating a workplace people enjoy being in.

You’ll need:

  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office (and learning new tools fast)
  • A proactive mindset
  • An interest in sustainability and a can-do attitude.
  • Someone ready to make an impact from day one.
