Job description

Experienced SEN Teacher needed - Secondary SEN School in Portsmouth - ASAP start!!

Academics are recruiting on behalf of an 'Outstanding' Secondary SEN School in the Cosham area of Portsmouth who have an urgent need for four experienced SEN Teachers who are available to start ASAP!

This is a full-time, term-time position - working hours are 8.30am - 3.30pm.

The school caters for approximately 165 pupils aged 11-16 years who have complex learning difficulties. In addition to their learning difficulties, some pupils have other needs associated with autistic spectrum condition, speech, language and communication difficulties, and medical conditions. This position is ideal for someone with previous SEN experience or a willingness to work with children with special educational needs.

This contract is to start ASAP, full-time, term-time until Christmas as a minimum. If you perform well, there is always the opportunity for a permanent position.

You will be required to teach across KS3 and KS4. The class sizes are small, allowing you to tailor lessons to meet individual learning needs. Due to their needs, they are taught a primary module, making this suitable for both primary and secondary trained teachers.
