Job description

Teaching Personnel are currently working in partnership with a number of secondary schools across Cheshire who are looking for confident cover supervisors who have a passion for improving the academic development of young students.

The schools are all in great locations with excellent transport links across Cheshire.

  • Opportunity to earn £90-£120 per day (dependent on experience)
  • Immediate start upon registering with Teaching Personnel
  • Flexible work with the opportunity for full-time

Key responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage classes across a variety of subjects in the absence of the class teacher
  • Create an engaging and positive learning environment for all students
  • Liaise with class teachers and pastoral staff to ensure the needs of all students are met

What we are looking for:

  • Ability to maintain a calm and focused classroom environment, ensuring all students remain on task and all work is completed
  • Previous experience working within a school environment is necessary for this role
  • Good understanding of the secondary school curriculum and classroom management strategies
  • Safeguarding Training (must be done through Teaching Personnel)

To be considered for this role, applicants must have a DBS registered on the update service or be willing to apply for one upon registering with Teaching Personnel.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
