As School Head of Finance, you will play a vital role in driving the school towards its overarching goals by making well-informed decisions that ensure operational efficiency and lay a robust foundation for future growth. The School Head of Finance will spearhead ongoing enhancements and optimisation across all financial operations and structures within the school. This will involve effective leadership and direction of the finance team, managing school resources including budget and financial planning for all accounts and providing advice and reports as required to the senior leadership team, governing body, local authority, and external agencies and contribute to school improvement plan.

The ideal candidate will possess relevant financial qualifications and boast a substantial track record of success in financial management in a school environment. Strong leadership, managerial acumen, and exceptional interpersonal skills are essential attributes for this role.

School Head of Finance Role

Salary: £75,000-£85,000

Contract Type: Full-Time - 52 weeks - Permanent

Line Manager: Headteacher

School Head of Finance Requirements:

1. Expert knowledge of financial regulations.
2. Qualified Level 4 Diploma for School Head of Finance (CSBM) or higher; or equivalent with some experience in a senior position or a Member of the AAT with significant relevant experience (essential).
3. Experience of developing strategies at a whole school level and delivering on initiatives with maximum impact (essential).
4. Extensive experience of financial and budgetary management (essential).
