Job description

Job Title: Waste & Recycling Site Manager

Location: Brighton area

Salary: Competitive

Job Type: Temp to perm

Hours: 07:00 - 17:00

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee the day-to-day running of the waste site, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
  2. Ensure full compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
  3. Manage and lead a team, including training, scheduling, and performance monitoring.
  4. Implement and maintain waste processing and recycling procedures.
  5. Monitor site budgets, costs, and resources to maximise efficiency.
  6. Liaise with regulatory bodies, local authorities, and stakeholders regarding site operations.
  7. Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of waste processing, safety incidents, and site performance.
  8. Identify opportunities for operational improvements and implement best practices.
  9. Maintain site equipment, ensuring servicing and repairs are carried out promptly.
  10. Manage customer relationships and ensure a high level of service.
Skills & Experience Required:
  1. Previous experience in waste management, recycling, or environmental services.
  2. Strong leadership and people management skills.
  3. Knowledge of environmental legislation and compliance requirements.
  4. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  5. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  6. Health & Safety qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) are desirable.

This is a temp to perm role paying £40-45k depending on experience. Immediate start available for right candidate.
