Overview

Kadant Johnson is seeking a results-driven, customer focused, hands-on colleague to join our team as a Regional Sales and Service Manager serving the packaging, paper, and tissue industry in the Northeast U.S. region. The position will ideally be located in the central New York state area and will report through the Regional Sales Director.

Responsibilities

The regional sales and service manager is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to win new business and achieve revenue targets. In addition, the regional sales and service manager provides customers with various mechanical services such as installation, repair, and supervision of service technicians. Additional functions of this role include developing strong customer relationships, managing opportunities and account records, forecasting, reporting, and collaborating with others to deliver an excellent customer experience.

Qualifications

The preferred candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field, have a minimum of five years experience in industrial sales with a track record of achieving sales targets. He/She must be able to work and engage effectively with people, be articulate, and have a strong mechanical aptitude. The candidate must also be willing and able to travel up to 75% of the time and lead mechanical installation crews.

The successful candidate will be results-driven and people oriented, have a strong internal drive for achievement, have in-depth mechanical knowledge, be tenacious, and capable of adjusting quickly to changing priorities. He/She will be able to communicate effectively, seek out and seize opportunities, go beyond the normal call-of-duty, find ways to surmount barriers, be resourceful, and show a bias for action (can-do and do-it-now attitude).
