NURSERY NURSE FLEXIBLE WORKING

Position: Flexible working - Bank cover. SW17, SW18, SW19, SW20.

We are currently recruiting for a passionate team of qualified staff. Role and Responsibilities

The successful candidates must be able to:

1. Demonstrate knowledge of the EYFS and promote learning through play.
2. Work with children aged 3 months to 5 years using the EYFS curriculum.
3. Organise and plan activities based on the children's interests and next steps.
4. Work in an inclusive community setting helping every child to reach their full potential.
5. Work in partnership with parents to promote children’s learning and development.
6. Complete essential day-to-day tasks in line with the demands of the area you are working within, e.g., hygiene standards and room preparation.
7. Ensure the children you care for are fully supervised, safe, and well cared for, leading by example to drive the culture of Safeguarding Children.
8. Provide support for your team and colleagues within the nursery.
9. Deliver high-quality Early Childhood practice and experiences for all children, including those with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities, promoting emotional wellbeing by embedding the EYFS curriculum.
10. Meet Health and Safety standards by risk assessing all areas in the nursery and ensuring the children are safe.
11. Be highly motivated, driven, and willing to learn.
12. Support nursery planning, observations, record keeping, and assessments.
13. Support with children’s daily needs, interests, and stages of development.
14. Maintain confidentiality and always remain professional.

Our Ideal Candidate

1. Experience working with children within Early Years.
2. Full and relevant Level 1 or equivalent in childcare qualification.
3. 12 hours paediatric first aid (can be completed as part of agency induction programme).
4. Relevant safeguarding/child protection training undertaken and a willingness to update training regularly (can be completed as part of agency induction).
5. This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Certificate and satisfactory employment references.
6. The successful candidates will be required to undertake relevant training needed for the role.
