Qualifications

  • Must have a clean driving licence and be empathetic.
  • Experience with tail lifts and wheelchair strapping is a plus.

Job description

25 hours per week (in total): 15 hours working Monday to Friday: 8am - 9.30am and 3.30pm - 5pm, plus an additional 10 hours per week (to be worked flexibly).

Description:

Minibus driver required weekday mornings and afternoons to transport clients to our Specialist Day Centres in Benfleet and Wickford, as well as supervising the maintenance of all vehicles. We are a small local charity that loves the clientele we support and need someone who can roll their sleeves up and get stuck in.

Responsibilities:

  • Driving company vehicles.
  • Maintenance of vehicles, including cleaning, preparing for MOTs, and sourcing materials for minor repairs.
  • To carry out additional duties when required by the Day Centre Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Clean and current driving licence.
  • Experience with tail lifts and strapping wheelchairs in is desirable but not essential.
  • Empathetic, kind, and caring character along with a sense of humour and positive outlook on life.
