Job description

Are you ready to rethink your routine? We’re looking for a Senior Digital Designer, specialising in Ads, to join our Creative department. This role will report into our Head of Design, we are looking for someone who is passionate; shaping creative communications and able to deliver extraordinary, best-in-class creative across all customer touch points.

You will have proven experience in designing for Ads and you will have a strong understanding of the unique creative requirements of social and digital advertising platforms incl. Meta, TikTok and YouTube and how to tailor assets for optimal performance on each platform.

You are always tapped into the latest creative trends, constantly exploring new ways to engage audiences through design. You keep a close eye on what brands and creators are doing across digital and social, dabbling in AI-powered tools to experiment and push creative boundaries. The right candidate will be ready to take our brand to the next level, playing a key role in helping to define a clear visual identity for our brand while maintaining Trinny London’s premium, joyful, and real tone.

The Role

Your daily to-dos might look like this:

  • Own all design assets for our Ads channel from brief to delivery working closely with the Performance Marketing team on analysing Ad performance data to identify trends and insights to improve our Ad creative.
  • Contributing to creative testing strategies for social media platforms including visuals, formats and design elements to improve performance.
  • Support the Head of Design in maintaining and evolving the brand guidelines and acting as a brand guardian at all times to deliver assets of the highest execution.
  • Design engaging, original, functional assets that align to and enhance the brand’s design identity for wider business channels when needed including site, email and social media.
  • Present innovative design solutions to briefs that support the marketing strategy, both commercially and creatively, is practically achievable and strategically appropriate to enhance our brand identity.
  • Onboarding and supporting freelance designers when required in collaboration with the Creative Operations team.
  • Collaborate and build relationships with channels and attend creative briefing sessions.

These skills will help you go far in this role:

  • Extensive, demonstrable experience being a part of a creative team, ideally under a lead creative/head of or art director for beauty, fashion or retail brands (in-house or agency).
  • A passion for Ad design and creative with a strong understanding of the specific requirements and best practices of individual social media platforms (e.g., Meta, TikTok, YouTube), including ad formats, aspect ratios, and technical specifications.
  • Strategic design approach shown through a keen interest in current emerging Ad formats and creative trends on social media, and examples of how you have proactively translated them into Ad design.
  • Highly creative with the ability to own projects from the initial concept stage to delivery.
  • Experience across all graphic design with strong animation/motion skills preferred.
  • Passion for typography and strong understanding of typographic lockup best practice with a strong working knowledge of the ins and outs of google fonts.
  • Strong understanding of how research and data impact design strategies.
  • Expert working knowledge of Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign & After Effects.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Flawless attention to detail.
  • Strong ability to meet tight deadlines and multitask to manage several projects simultaneously.
  • Highly collaborative team player with a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Experience line managing a team.
  • Strong ability to work autonomously.
