Are you looking for an Electronics PCB Technician job based in Berkshire?

My Berkshire based client are looking for an Electronics PCB Technician for their electronic components, PCB, and kitting solutions company. In this role, you will be responsible for engineering high quality bespoke electronic and electromechanical products and assemblies in line with business requirements.

Key Responsibilities for the Electronics PCB Technician based in Berkshire:
  1. Work with the quote team to analyse products to ensure quote accuracy from a technical standpoint (e.g. Supplier spec/assembly process, matches to customer requirements).
  2. Collate and control documents to enable new parts to transition from quotation, into sample preparation, through customer approval processes and into manufacture smoothly.
  3. Manage change control working with customers, supply partners and our ERP system.
  4. Work with our suppliers to carry out DFM targeting cost savings/profit enhancement.
  5. Technically assess potential alternative devices identified by the team to save cost, reduce lead-times or overcome obsolescence as required.
  6. Validate their BoMs versus customer BoMs, submit to customers for counter approval.
Knowledge/Experience for the Electronics PCB Technician:
  1. Be pro-active, conscientious, and able to work on own initiative with minimal supervision.
  2. Experience of PCBA production through all processes including testing.
  3. Ability to carry out FMEA.
  4. Experience of analysing component datasheets to determine suitable potential alternatives.
  5. Experience in using MRP systems.
