Newstaff Employment Services recruiting on behalf of our client based in Enfield for a 7.5T driver to join the team. Our Client is extremely busy with a contract supplying Steel to construction companies all over the UK.

Very little handballing as the Steel is lifted by crane on site.

Job Description

We are seeking a dependable and skilled 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our team in Enfield. As a 7.5 Tonne Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of goods to various destinations. Your primary responsibility will be to operate a 7.5-tonne vehicle efficiently and in compliance with all relevant regulations. You must also be willing to help in the workshop when needed, including machine operating and warehouse type work.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Vehicle Operation: Safely operate a 7.5-tonne vehicle in accordance with traffic laws and company policies.
2. Goods Transportation: Load, transport, and unload goods to and from designated locations.
3. Route Planning: Plan and optimize delivery routes to ensure timely and efficient deliveries.
4. Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct routine vehicle checks, report any issues, and ensure the vehicle is kept clean and well-maintained.
5. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery notes and any required paperwork.
6. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients, ensuring deliveries are made professionally and courteously.
7. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations, including the safe handling and securing of cargo.
8. Time Management: Manage your workday efficiently to meet delivery schedules.

Qualifications:

• Valid UK driving license with Category C1 (7.5 Tonne) entitlement.
• Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) qualification.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good knowledge of Enfield and surrounding areas.
• Excellent driving record with no serious traffic violations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical fitness to handle loading and unloading of goods.
