Highway Inspector

Our client is looking for an experienced Highway Inspector to work a short-term contract in Newcastle.

Job Description:

1. Oversee the contractors' work
2. Assist other inspectors
3. Inspect an A road
4. Ensure the safety of the roads
5. Enforce highway regulations
6. Supervise reactive and highway maintenance work
7. Maintain detailed records of work completed

Personal Specification:

1. Full Clean UK Driving Licence
2. Highway experience is desirable
3. Must be capable of walking significant miles on a daily basis
4. A degree in civil engineering, construction management or equivalent is desirable
