Job summary

An established industry player is looking for a reliable Cleaner to join their team on a 3-month contract in Southampton. This role involves maintaining cleanliness in communal and external areas, ensuring high standards are met. You will be responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, and using powered equipment safely while adhering to Health & Safety procedures. Job description

Cleaner
Southampton
3-Month Contract
Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 4:00 pm (37 Hour per week)
£12 per hour

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team for a 3-month contract in Southampton. The role involves ensuring a high standard of cleanliness in communal areas, walk-up blocks, and tower blocks, as well as maintaining external surroundings to keep them free from obstructions and litter.

Cleaner Key Responsibilities
  1. Clean, sweep, mop, and sanitize designated areas.
  2. Maintain communal areas, ensuring cleanliness and tidiness.
  3. Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately.
  4. Use powered cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
  5. Follow Health & Safety procedures and report any concerns.
  6. Assist with the maintenance and management of council properties.
  7. Report urgent repairs and fire safety hazards.
  8. Deliver excellent customer service when interacting with residents and colleagues.
  9. Work with a team to ensure high cleaning standards are maintained.
  10. Adhere to safeguarding policies and procedures.
Cleaner Requirements:
  1. Previous cleaning experience in a similar role (desirable but not essential).
  2. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  3. Knowledge of Health & Safety and COSHH regulations (training provided if necessary).
  4. A reasonable level of physical fitness to undertake cleaning duties.
  5. Experience working with individuals with neurodiversity is beneficial.
  6. Basic IT literacy for reporting purposes.
  7. Ability to travel across different locations if required.
  8. Full UK Driving License required.
  9. DBS Check Required – This role requires a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
