Financial Controller at Fast growing Premium QSR Group.

Salary Up to £65,000 plus 20% Bonus

An exciting opportunity for a Financial Controller or Finance Manager to join a dynamic team at London's most premium growing QSR (Quick Service Restaurant) Groups. The Financial Controller is one of the most senior positions in the company reporting directly to the CEO. We are conducting a search for a Finance Manager or Financial Controller who has a real attention to detail, broad finance experience, and wants to be part of a business with exciting scale-up plans. The company currently operates 7 stores in the UK and 2 internationally with a growth plan of getting to a minimum of 25 stores in the next few years. With capital already raised, it's a great time to join this premium growing concept.

The role

The Financial Controller will be responsible for all areas of finance working closely with operations. Key accountabilities include the meticulous management and reporting of the accounts, overseeing transaction processing by the external accountants, risk management, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management. In addition, you will be responsible for the oversight of all day-to-day aspects of finance and always on the lookout for ways to make it run more efficiently and improve systems. You will continually develop new processes and help build and shape the direction of our organisation with the owner. The candidate must have the natural ability to operate in a fast-paced and challenging environment and will be supported by an incredibly passionate team.

Key Responsibilities for The Financial Controller:

  • Driving the management reporting and analysis across the business and leading change and growth working with the senior management team.
  • Developing investment reporting for the retail stores.
  • Manage and improve the following for the core businesses:
  • Inventory Management and supply chain optimisation.
  • Financial risk strategy.
  • Intercompany accounting and development of cost centres.
  • Compliance, due diligence, and governance.
  • Accountable for systems development and best practice for the business, including financial policy.
  • Developing a robust financial control environment.
  • Managing external relationships with auditors, banks, investors, and other key stakeholders.

Skills and experience:

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA or equivalent qualifications would be preferred.
  • Experience of developing systems and processes.
  • Exposure to a fast-moving Retail, FMCG, F&B, or similar fast-moving multi-site environment.
  • Ability to develop a strong vision of how the Finance function needs to develop to support the business.
  • Able to juggle a varied and challenging workload; ruthless prioritisation comes naturally.
  • Happy to get your hands dirty but also delegates wisely.
  • Strong IT skills. The business currently uses Xero, Revel Epos, and Dear Inventory Management systems as well as Excel.
  • Strong core accounting skills gained in industry.
  • Highly personable and energetic relationship builder across the organisation, a team player with strong motivational skills for your team.
  • Proven relationship management skills - you'll be just as at home with auditors as you are with bankers and other key external stakeholders.
