Salary : £38,100 - £44,400 per annum depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.
Contract : 1 Fixed Term Contract / Attachment (12 Months)
The Business Advisor role reports into the Head of Production in BBC Wales and sits in the Business Management Production team. The team is responsible for providing a wide range of support across the production business, including production management, budgeting, procurement advice, risk management, innovation, projects, strategic advice and support.
The team supports the Radio Wales, Radio Cymru, BBC Wales News, BBC Wales Sport and the BBC National Orchestra of Wales departments. This role will focus in one or two areas of the business and is expected to work collaboratively across the Business Management Team to deliver best practice ways of working in all areas.
The role works closely with senior production leaders and is responsible for maintaining high quality information to support good decision making in the business.
The successful candidate will work in a very busy and often demanding production environment where each hour of the day can be very different to the one planned. The role suits someone good at planning and organising but are prepared to be flexible and change their plans at short notice. You will need to remember and apply an extensive range of business, administrative and production management knowledge and potentially deliver imaginative workaround solutions but always within company policies and guidelines. Collaboration and close working relationships with the production teams is a must for this role. Home working is possible, but you should expect to be in the office for 3 to 4 days every week.
