Enterprise Risk – Risk Assurance Manager | London | Up to £, Base plus Bonus and Benefits – Hybrid

Taylor Root has partnered with a small financial services company that was founded in 7. Offering highly individualised service throughout all international branches, they offer corporate personal, private, and correspondent banking solutions.

Some of the duties include:

  1. Ensure that risk management becomes a top priority and that risk processes are integrated into the bank using a variety of mechanisms.
  2. Support the CRO in risk management activities.
  3. Maintain the bank’s Enterprise Risk Register management, covering all key risks.
  4. Monthly monitoring and reporting on Risk Appetite.
  5. Monitoring activities across Credit, Investment, Country and Liquidity risk families.
  6. Stress testing activity specifically; capital and liquidity planning, credit risk.
  7. Creation and application of Risk Control Self Assessment, along with methodology for sample testing and quality control, across all functions.
  8. Identify, collate, assess and report on a range of Key Risk Indicators.
  9. Designing and implementing targeted quality assurance reviews to ensure compliance with risk controls.
  10. Continue to develop the Operational Risk Register and Risk Event Reporting (RER) capabilities, which are used to direct the bank in managing its operational risks and, ultimately, Operational Risk Loss Reporting.
  11. Conduct change risk assessments for significant modifications to procedures, safety measures, and novel goods and services.
  12. Informing the Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee and other executive committees (ExCO, ALCO) as needed about risk management activities and risk profile.

What we’re looking for:

  1. Knowledge and experience in key risk families with focus on Credit Risk, Stress Testing, Capital planning, Liquidity risk.
  2. Good understanding of prudential regulation and expectations.
  3. Advanced data analytical skill set including proficiency in Excel.
  4. Technical mindset, proven experience in driving and implementing process improvements.
  5. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  6. Strong relationship building skills.
