Empower and Support Students with Complex Needs

A specialist SEN school in Uxbridge is seeking a compassionate and dedicated PMLD Teacher to support students with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). The Role
  1. Deliver personalised and adaptive lessons tailored to the needs of students with PMLD.
  2. Use a multisensory approach to engage students, incorporating visual, auditory, and tactile learning techniques.
  3. Implement EHCP (Education, Health & Care Plan) goals to ensure individual progress.
  4. Work closely with SEN TAs, therapists, and medical staff to provide holistic support.
  5. Foster an inclusive, nurturing, and structured learning environment.
  6. Assist students with personal care, communication aids, and mobility support where needed.
Candidate Requirements
  1. Be a qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS/PGCE) with experience in SEN or PMLD settings.
  2. Have knowledge of AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), sensory integration, and assistive technology.
  3. Be patient, resilient, and passionate about supporting students with complex needs.
  4. Have strong teamwork skills, working alongside therapists, support staff, and families.
  5. Be comfortable with providing personal care support as part of the role.
