Role Overview

The Product Engineer is a dynamic, hands-on technical innovator at the heart of product development. In this role, you will leverage deep technical expertise to build, iterate, and optimize high-quality, scalable software solutions-especially in the realm of AI-driven and agentic technologies. Your work will transform innovative ideas into production-ready systems that are both robust and user-centric.

Core Responsibilities

End-to-End Product Ownership:
Take full ownership of new product initiatives-from the initial 0 → 1 phase of prototyping and iterating on AI-driven products, to refining and scaling them into production-grade systems.

Rapid Prototyping & Iteration:
Develop, test, and iterate prototypes quickly, incorporating real user feedback while maintaining a strong sense of urgency. Balance this rapid experimentation with the discipline required for building scalable and reliable systems.

Architecture & System Design:
Design and maintain scalable system architectures that support current product demands and anticipate future needs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure technical solutions are both robust and efficient.

Technical Problem-Solving & Innovation:
Engage in data-driven experimentation to identify technical bottlenecks and optimize system performance. Be a workhorse who is relentlessly driven to build agentic technology that can drive societal change.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with product managers, designers, and operations teams. Participate in design reviews, sprint planning, and technical discussions to ensure seamless integration of new features and innovations.

Day-to-Day Activities

Coding & Feature Implementation:

• Write, review, and debug code to implement and enhance product features. Maintain high engineering standards while iterating quickly.

System Testing & Optimization:

• Run rigorous experiments and tests to ensure the system's performance, scalability, and quality remain at the highest level.

User Feedback Integration:

• Analyze direct user feedback and usage data to iterate on features, address emerging challenges, and continuously improve the product.

Technical Discussions:

• Actively contribute to technical discussions on AI product development, leveraging your experience with modern AI toolchains (including LLMs) to influence both strategy and execution.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

Technical Proficiency:

• Proven experience with modern frameworks and tools such as Python, React, Next.js, MySQL, Django, and Git (or similar technologies).
• Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new frameworks as needed.
• Agentic technology.

Experience & Background:

• At least 5+ years of commercial software development experience, including a minimum of 2 years in agentic technology.
• Prior experience in an agile, fast-moving AI startup or product environment where you served as a lead technical resource.

AI & Agentic Technologies:

• A strong understanding of AI-driven product development, with hands-on experience shipping AI-powered applications.
• Bonus: Experience working with AI voice agent technology.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills-capable of holding meaningful technical conversations with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• A bias for action: you move quickly, iterate fast, and are relentless in driving product impact.
• Ability to thrive in ambiguity and proactively solve problems without waiting for direction.
