Security Channel Partner Business Dev Manager

The Customer...

We have now partnered with a global Microsoft first Security Solutions Partner to build out their Business Development Manager, Account Manager and Security Channel Partner BDM capability in an exciting strategy from a new global CEO.

A global security business and growing, they're a Microsoft first security partner, selling wider vendor services. They are successfully Microsoft Managed, a MISA awards finalist and focusing on the SMC / Enterprise sectors across multiple industry verticals.

Now they are looking to build out their channel partner sales model even further to drive new partnership opportunity and are seeking a motivated new channel partner BDM who can take this to a 10+ person global as success progresses.

Seeking those high performers in their first 5 years of a security channel sales career they already have a working model with bespoke IT custom products recognised by Microsoft to help the journey.

What is needed: an understanding and history selling MXDR, and professional security services/consulting into channel partners.

With all the tools and credibility you will need to succeed, this Microsoft Intelligent Security Association (MISA) member and multiple awards finalist will give you customer IP products to build seller advantage, a global operation to sell and incredible vendor relationships to aid the journey ahead.

You will need to be a motivated and experienced new partner BDM; you may have sold multiple services but want to dedicate deeper into security. In return, you'll join a new team of multiple components that will now bring real capability to back you up including solid presales, MVP level consulting allies and customer unique products.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the growth of business across new channel partner relationships
  • Expand the managed channel partner model
  • Create readiness to expand beyond the UK
  • Create and manage sales pipeline across both security services, consulting and presales.
  • Maintain consistent contact with existing channel partners
  • Track varying metrics.
  • Help create and design the model with the CEO and UK sales director when onboarded
  • Work closely with channel partner customers to understand their customers' security posture and identify solution and service opportunities to build and develop.
  • Using expert knowledge to guide and advise channel customers on the best suitable security services and solutions.
  • Create prospect and services portfolio where required
  • Collaborate with marketing to build campaigns

Key Experience:

  • Experience in full sales cycle including deal closing channel partner sales successes.
  • Experience working with a Microsoft Managed and/or Professional Security Services.
  • Understand the Microsoft Security stack and other vendors including enterprise/SMC licensing models across MXDR, cloud, IAM, Purview, Copilot for Security.
  • Experience in discussing prospective solutions with customers.
  • Working to deadlines and have successfully achieved sales targets for security services.
  • Experienced sellers of MXDR Services
  • Channel Partner sales BDM background
  • Security Services/Solutions into new customers PS and/or MS
