We are looking for two commercial HR Business Partners to lead the HR teams across Southwest and Southeast of the DWP HAAS contract, supporting the Senior Leadership Team in driving a culture of continuous business improvement and supporting managers in delivering key HR metrics including absence and performance management.
Position:
As an HR Business Partner for PFAS you will provide a high level of HR business support to PFAS across Lot 3/Lot 4, translating business requirements into effective HR practices and delivery of people solutions aligned to business objectives.
Main job duties:
- Build strong relationships with managers to gain a deep understanding of the business and sector, enabling effective HR support.
- Coach and support managers in resolving people management issues and developing their leadership capabilities.
- Serve as the expert on colleague relations, including absence management, retention, performance, grievances, and disciplinary matters.
- Guide managers through HR cases, providing timely advice and escalating complex issues when necessary.
- Instil a performance management culture by equipping managers with the tools to effectively manage their teams.
- Identify workforce requirements and skills gaps, delivering targeted training and development solutions to build capability.
- Ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures, providing updated training as needed and supporting structural changes.
- Collaborate with the Wellbeing & Engagement team to enhance workplace culture and engagement.
- Provide regular KPI reports on absence, turnover, and employee relations cases.
- Manage and develop PFAS HR colleagues.
Requirements:
Essential qualifications:
- CIPD Level 5 or equivalent experience.
Experience:
- A minimum of 5+ years HR experience is desirable.
- Previous experience as a HR Business Partner is desirable.
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of current and upcoming employment law changes is essential.
- Knowledge of health assessment services is desirable.
- Knowledge and application on employment best practice is essential.

- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels within the organization.
- Showcase strong organizational, problem-solving, and leadership abilities, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Be resilient under pressure, managing tight deadlines and conflicting priorities effectively.
- Maintain confidentiality with discretion and diplomacy, self-motivated and be able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Successfully develop and implement HR policies, wellbeing initiatives, and transformational change programs to meet business needs.
- Provide effective HR business advice, identify potential risks, and write comprehensive reports using Microsoft and third-party software.
Other information:
Salary: £55,000 per annum
Location: Remote, with travel to Head Office and Assessment Centres London/South East as required.
Job Type: PERMANENT FULL TIME
Hours: 40 per week
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday 8.30 to 17.00
