The role sits within the Research Digital Markets Product team, within Corporate Investment Bank, Global Research and provides both internal and external clients with transformational digital products, experiences and solutions for the curation and consumption of our Global Research product across a variety of digital client channels – Email, Web (single dealer platform), Mobile, API. The Research Digital Markets Product team seeks out new opportunities and drives execution and change across both the organization and that of our ~250k Institutional Investor clients.
Job Summary
As a Product Manager in Research Digital Markets team, you will work in a small and strategically important Product Team. You will be focused on building digital solutions, products and features which enable our Institutional Investor clients to easily discover and consume our award-winning Research content, which is relevant to them, on the digital channel of their choice.
Job Responsibilities
- Managing a portfolio of products, distributing Research content to Institutional clients across digital channels – email, web (single dealer portal – JPMM), mobile, API.
- Leveraging usage, subscriptions and engagement data to design and roll out a suite of products and features which can recommend and personalize research content to clients across digital channels – web, email, and mobile.
- Using data analytics to track client engagement with our content, provide business insights and tooling to internal stakeholders and senior management, and identify themes which can generate new product ideas and business outcomes.
- Designing and owning the end-to-end product vision, strategy, roadmap, and budget across the portfolio of products.
- Prioritizing the product pipeline, balancing stakeholder needs, business deadlines, and engineering capacity.
- Leveraging internal and external client feedback to define and manage user/client requirements and translate high-level business needs into clearly defined requirements/user stories for technology delivery.
- Defining OKRs and KPIs for your products and reporting to stakeholders/senior management on progress and delivery.
- Partnering with Research and Mobile Engineering teams to manage the product pipeline appropriately throughout technology sprint cycles.
- Partnering with cross-functional teams, including Compliance, Operations, Business Managers, Editorial, Research Management, Technology, UI/UX, vendors, etc.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- 5+ years of proven product management experience in the financial sector.
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, a structured approach to problem solving; the ability to challenge the status quo.
- Adept user of business intelligence and data visualization tools such as Tableau and/or Alteryx with proven knowledge of digital technologies and current/future trends, especially LLM.
- Ability to break down high-level strategy and vision into tangible and incremental deliveries, with experience working collaboratively with engineering, design, technology teams, and partner product teams to drive product delivery.
- Ability to lead global matrix teams.
- Highly motivated to design and deliver strategic changes to existing business processes.
- Effective communication, partnership, and stakeholder management skills at all levels of seniority.
- Creative self-starter with strong work ethic and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of MIS and how it can drive the product lifecycle and development.
- Track record of working with data to identify themes and business value.
- Excellent team player, confident working both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Good understanding of Investment Research publishing and client distribution.
