To manage the site services activities across the Hams Hall sites to ensure business requirements are met regarding facilities and security. Reporting directly to the Head of Facilities and Engineering, the Facilities Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the safety, efficiency, and functionality of our facility. This role necessitates close collaboration with cross-functional teams, oversight of contractor activities, and effective management of a dedicated team.

Your Tasks
  1. Leading and inspiring a dedicated team of maintenance personnel, fostering teamwork, accountability, and continuous growth.
  2. Leading day-to-day operations of our warehouse facility, including maintenance, repairs, and enhancements. Champion a culture of operational excellence aligned with organisational objectives, fostering a lean management approach.
  3. Collaborating closely with external contractors and service providers, ensuring their activities align with our safety protocols, contractual agreements, and operational requirements. Regularly review contractor contracts and performance to ensure quality outcomes.
  4. Upholding safety as the foremost priority, adhering to relevant regulations and guidelines such as the Health and Safety at Work Act, PUWER, LOLER, and CDM regulations. Simultaneously, drive operational sustainability aligned with industry best practices.
  5. Conducting regular facility inspections to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and opportunities for improvements. Proactively address issues to maintain a secure environment and minimize disruptions.
  6. Evaluating contractor work to ensure it meets established quality standards. Provide constructive feedback to uphold superior work outcomes while ensuring adherence to safety and quality requirements.
  7. Developing and managing the facility budget, optimally allocating resources to support maintenance, repairs, and upgrades. Seek cost-effective solutions while maintaining safety and quality standards.
  8. Overseeing waste management protocols, including proper disposal, and recycling, in compliance with waste regulations.
Your Profile

An experienced Facilities Manager with a strong personality and a proactive approach to challenge the status quo, when necessary, always prioritising the safety and efficiency of operations. As well as someone who has:

  1. Suitable qualifications in Facilities Management or a related field, along with a proven track record in this area of work.
  2. Proven experience in facility management with a strong focus on safety, operational efficiency, sustainability, and lean management principles.
  3. Exceptional leadership skills, including managing teams and inspiring collaboration.
  4. Profound understanding of building systems, equipment maintenance, waste management, and health and safety regulations, encompassing the Health and Safety at Work Act, PUWER, LOLER, and CDM regulations.
  5. Meticulous organisational and multitasking abilities, with keen attention to detail.
  6. Effective communication skills to facilitate seamless collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
  7. Proficiency in utilising software for maintenance tracking and reporting.
  8. Problem-solving acumen to make informed decisions in fast-paced scenarios.
  9. Committed to nurturing a secure, sustainable, and productive work environment.
  10. Proven expertise in budget management and resource optimisation.
