Personal Assistant for a young man in Chester-le-Street - 10/15 hrs per week, £12 per hr - Chester le Street - DH2

Personal Assistant required to support a male aged 19 years who lives in the Chester le Street area.

The person is a very football-oriented Sunderland fan and loves to chat about this subject. His other interests include ten-pin bowling, trains, the metro, football training, and fast food places.

Due to learning disabilities, ADHD, and Autism, he will need help with general life skills, including getting on a bus, paying for things, and exploring new places to develop his confidence and independence.

Hours / Wage

Hours per week are as follows:

1. Term time - 10 hours usually on Thursdays & Fridays (this can be discussed), after 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM as a guide.
2. Non-term time - 15 hours, which could be anytime Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM or evenings (also can be discussed).

Wages are £12 per hour.

Duties

Take him on days out, have a kick about with a football, and encourage everyday life to help him get out and about in the community.

Additional Requirements/Information

He is a good person at heart, but patience is required, as he can be demanding and finds it hard to understand at times. This position is best suited for someone with experience in these areas of disabilities.

The position does not require a car or driver, but it would be preferred. If needed, the person may have to provide some care in their own home.

An Enhanced DBS will be required, and the employer will cover the cost.
