Transportation & Logistics Leader CRS EMEA

The Aon Regional Transportation & Logistics (T&L) Practice Leader is responsible for driving revenue growth, client retention, and new business development across the EMEA region. This role requires collaboration with key partners, including Global Industry Specialty leadership, Enterprise Client Group, and Commercial Risk leadership, to develop and implement a distinctive value proposition, client service model, and innovative solutions for the T&L sector.

As a key member of the global T&L leadership team, the Regional Practice Leader contributes to the strategic direction and success of the industry specialty, supporting Aon’s broader regional and global objectives. This position requires a strong ability to successfully interact with a very wide and diverse network of regional offices, build and lead strategic client relationships, develop high-performing teams, and drive thought leadership and innovation within the industry.

What the day will look like
Leadership & Strategy
  • Lead the T&L industry specialty in EMEA, ensuring alignment with regional budgets, targets, and strategic priorities.
  • Develop and maintain a regional business plan and market-specific strategies within Aon’s management systems.
  • Represent EMEA in global T&L leadership meetings, contributing to product development, marketing strategies, and thought leadership.
  • Foster collaboration with other industry specialties and specialty products to maximize Aon’s capabilities.
  • Build and run a high-performing regional T&L team, ensuring alignment with Aon’s leadership model and values.
Client Management & Business Development
  • Develop and maintain senior-level relationships with key T&L clients, using these relationships for business expansion.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including cross-selling initiatives and expansion into client supply chains.
  • Champion Aon’s Client Value Creation Model, ensuring high-quality service delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Drive marketing campaigns and thought leadership initiatives, ensuring effective communication of Aon’s capabilities.
Market Engagement & Carrier Management
  • Establish and maintain strategic relationships with insurers to enhance broking outcomes for client retention and acquisition.
  • Ensure alignment of broking strategies with local and global protocols.
  • Lead regional carrier discussions, using data and analytics for optimized engagement.
Innovation & Solution Development
  • Drive the development of industry-specific, best-in-class products, solutions, and services.
  • Utilize data and analytics to provide insights and decision-making tools for clients.
  • Encourage the adoption of innovative systems and processes that enhance operational efficiency.
People & Culture
  • Act as a role model for Aon’s values, fostering a culture of excellence, inclusion, and professional development.
  • Identify and develop industry talent, both internally and through external recruitment.
  • Mentor and coach high-potential colleagues, supporting leadership development and succession planning.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
  • Extensive experience in the Transportation & Logistics or Commercial Risk industry.
  • Strong leadership and strategic planning capabilities within a complex, matrixed environment.
  • Consistent record in business development, client relationship management, and revenue growth.
  • Expertise in risk management, broking, and insurance solutions for the T&L sector.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

This role requires a forward-thinking leader with a deep understanding of the T&L industry and the ability to drive innovation, client value, and business growth across the region.
