Are you a French Teacher looking for their next part time role?

I am supporting a partnering school in recruiting for a French teacher on a part time basis to start as soon as possible!

The school is seeking a passionate and dynamic French Teacher to join their academic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching French at Secondary School level, fostering a positive and engaging learning environment, and helping students develop strong proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and listening in French.

The French Teacher will create lesson plans, assess student progress, and work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the language learning experience.

Line Manager: Head of Department

  • Strong proficiency in both written and spoken French (native or near-native proficiency preferred).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create a dynamic and engaging classroom environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Enthusiasm for language and culture.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Passion for continuous professional development.
  • Teach French language courses to students of various levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced).
  • Develop, plan, and deliver engaging lessons that meet curriculum standards and encourage student participation.
  • Incorporate cultural and historical aspects of French-speaking regions to provide a well-rounded learning experience.
  • Regularly assess and evaluate student performance through quizzes, assignments, oral presentations, and exams.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support their academic growth.
  • Maintain accurate records of student grades and attendance.
  • Maintain a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Manage student behavior in accordance with school policies and procedures.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
  • Stay updated on best practices in language teaching, new educational technologies, and trends in French language instruction.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in French, Education, or a related field.
  • QTS, QTLS, and/or relevant teaching experience.
