Working hours: This role is available on a part-time, job-share and full-time basis

Location: Home-based, London, South-East UK

Salary: Up to £60,000 depending on experience, plus car and allowances

We have an opportunity for a surveyor to join our diverse, passionate and thought-leading team. Zurich Resilience Solutions is pivotal to supporting our customers internally and externally, with market-leading risk management solutions which include onsite assessment, desktop assessment, account management, thought leadership advice and much more.

This is a diverse and rewarding role which will involve providing assessments of building reinstatement costs for insurance purposes to a range of public sector and commercial clients.

The successful candidate would demonstrate experience of delivering reinstatement cost assessments across a range of industries. A similar role would be that of a Trainee Surveyor, Assistant Surveyor, Surveyor, Senior Surveyor.

We are open to applications from all levels of experience up to Senior Surveyor, but experience in Reinstatement costs is required.

The role is home-based, and candidates will need to travel to customer sites across the UK. A company car will be provided.

What will you be doing?

  1. Undertake desktop and on-site assessments in-line with local and global guidelines.
  2. Produce bespoke reports to a professional standard and delivered to stakeholders in a timely manner.
  3. Identify and consult with new and existing stakeholders where opportunities exist to generate additional revenue.
  4. Contribute to thought leadership and technical insight delivered to customers, business partners and colleagues through events, communications and other publications.
  5. Prioritise individual workload to deliver for our customers efficiently and effectively.
  6. Support less experienced colleagues and be a technical referral point for building valuations.

What are we looking for?

  1. Building or Quantity Surveyor with a Degree (or similar) in Building Surveying/Quantity Surveying
  2. Assoc RICS / MRICS Qualification would be advantageous
  3. Consultative approach with the ability to recognize opportunities to generate revenue
  4. Excellent presentation and customer engagement skills; experienced at influencing and negotiation
  5. Build trusted relationships and promote collaborative teamwork, seeking diverse perspectives from internal and external partners
  6. A full UK driving licence.
