Mid-level Designer/Creative Artworker (hybrid - 3 days a week in office)

What you’ll do in your role

As a Middleweight Designer or Creative Artworker, you'll bring creativity and precision to our passionate, European Design team. Based at our Portsmouth office you’ll work alongside both local colleagues and those in London and Stockholm. You'll create content-rich learning solutions across print, digital, and presentations, ensuring all work aligns with BTS’s and our client’s branding.

This is a hybrid role, we'll ask you to work from our Portsmouth office (Lakeside, North Harbour) at least 60% of your working week (3 days for a full timer).

Key Responsibilities

  • Design Execution: Produce high-quality designs across various media, including print, digital, and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Brand Adherence: Ensure all design work adheres to relevant brand guidelines.
  • Creative Input: Creative and innovative approach to design, and curious to learn.
  • Project Coordination: Assist in managing project timelines and deliverables by taking ownership of assigned tasks and ensuring they’re completed on time and to a high standard.
  • Final Output: Able to set final artwork for print or digital, troubleshoot and QC final files.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Head of Design, Design Leads and other team members including European stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of design projects.

What we’re looking for:

  • Education: Post secondary education in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or equivalent commercial experience.
  • Experience: Proven experience of professional design in a commercial environment (in-house or agency side).
  • Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat {including interactive documents/forms}), MS Office (PowerPoint, Word), and print production processes.
  • Nice to Have: Experience with motion graphics and video editing (After Effects / Premier Pro), and familiarity with UX/UI principles including design tools like Figma or XD.
