Finance Business Partner

Our client based in Hertfordshire has developed a world-leading online platform in the UK, and more recently, they have begun selling and operating the platform for retailers inside and outside the UK.

This role, a Finance Business Partner, would manage the labour section of the logistics P&L, acting as the subject matter expert in understanding and providing insight into costs.

You would also:

• Manage the annual budget and forecast process to produce well understood bottom-up budget figures that are presented with clear insight and commentary. These figures will be a key measurement of success for sites and therefore assumptions should be documented and well understood by stakeholders.
• Manage the end to end month-end process for your P&L area at the end of each period, interpreting account postings, comparing budget with actual spend, and providing and presenting insightful variance analysis to senior leadership.
• Manage the Balance Sheets for your business areas, ensuring account balances are understood, well controlled with accurate commentary and risks and opportunities are clearly stated.
• Present weekly Variable Cost Reports within Finance and to Operations Managers and challenge the business on the controllable cost areas.
• Lead business reviews to talk through site P&L’s, understand trends, set targets, track actions, risks and opportunities and drive cost control, insight and actionable change.
• Address audit queries, and provide support for mid-year and year-end financial closings.
• Manage 2 other people in the finance team.
